Cards for Crisis is an initiative GCAMA started in the fall of 2020. This project is dedicated to connecting with community members who have been isolated by the pandemic, particularly the elderly and immunocompromised. We hope that this project helps share some joy and hope through these handwritten cards during this time of crisis.

We have partnered with Words by Amrita and successfully sent 300 physical cards during the holiday season to residents at the Brightmore of South Charlotte, a local retirement community. Words by Amrita donated cards personally designed by artists in Canada, and volunteers write meaningful messages of hope and warmth.

For the second distribution of cards, we will be sending 500 cards to Windsor Run-Erickson Living for spring. To help support this project, please see below for more details!
