Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, small businesses have faced tragic losses, forcing many local business owners to close altogether. In an effort to support small businesses and their role in our community, Greater Charlotte Area Mutual Aid launched the #GoLocalCLT campaign, a multi-modal approach created not only to encourage community members to shop at local businesses but also provide meaningful support and resources to small business owners.

In addition to the health consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, the coronavirus has had a significant impact on our economy and the daily lives for many, including individual livelihoods. With the impact of the pandemic economy on small businesses, we want to provide support to small businesses that may be struggling during these difficult times. A team of interns and team members at Greater Charlotte Area Mutual Aid have spent the past few months compiling a wide variety of resources in our GoLocalCLT Resource Library. We encourage small businesses to use this document as a tool to find opportunities for support and to learn more about financial planning, recruiting, and more best practices for operating a business in the pandemic.
